Thought
Mystical
In this world
– but not of this world.
Ephemeral, intangible,
and yet, perpetual.
Thoughts reign supreme
because they determine what we deem.
Such are their colossal power
they can imbue an idea to flower,
or ensure it will sour.
A thought can liberate the mind
securing its independence,
or imprison it so it becomes wholly dependent.
It can open a door
allowing a person to soar,
and create a law,
which helps the poor.
However, can promulgate a lie.
One so authoritative that no rules apply.
It is no wonder a thought can cause people to die.

Your poem highlights the extraordinary power of thoughts, showing how something invisible can shape what we believe, who we become, and even how society functions. It reflects on how a single thought can inspire growth, free the mind, build compassion, or ignite harm when twisted into a lie. Overall, it gently reminds us that thoughts may be intangible, yet they hold immense influence over our lives and the world around us.
This poem shows how powerful our thoughts really are. Even though we can’t see them, they can make good things happen or cause problems. Thoughts can help us feel free, make the world better, or sometimes even trick people. It reminds us to think carefully about what we believe.
